Rain or Shine
Going for a run was routine. Six days a week.
In New England, the old saying was “if you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes.”
So, on our team, we didn’t sweat it.
Rain or shine.
If it was raining, put on a baseball hat, Keeps rain out of your eyes.
Cold, add a layer. Or two.
Hot, peel it off.
Some embraced the desire to predict the weather, to manage and adjust schedules, and timing, and events accordingly.
We didn’t. We embraced the shrug.
Just Do It.
Rang loud and clear. Go team.
The worse the weather, the better the challenge.
Memories of a run through a hurricane’s flooded roads.
Ah, youth.
